This is more or less a start-up from an Eco Nature Beach Wellness Resort on a remote location in southern Pacific Nicaragua
We did in a short period a lot of work and sales/ quality improved drastically and profits were finally made. We upgraded this property to the Preferred hotel group organization .
We have finished the process to create the profile, formula for our Eco resort at Lago Apoyo. JV partners are welcome if they mean more then only funding, they have to add something to the success of the formula, like having sales channels. Unfortunately my main partner and friend died and we had to stop the development.

DayStar Properties is a condominium development and management company in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica. We made 3 resorts operational in one year, 3 others were in construction and 1 resort was in the planning. These 7 projects have a total of 700 condominiums which is a part from the 2000 ready planned condominiums total. Having 700 condominiums means having 900 owners, this involves handling of their interests and communications and all communication with the guests on 4 star hotel level. My Philosophy is creating an effective consumer centric organization, I am a strong believer of this and my experience is every time that it's effective and profitable. My main responsibilities were setting up a good operation, we installed a communication structure with customers, staff and owners, On the marketing, the rental and sales part; we created new sophisticated websites with a company design. We connected Reservations, marketing/ Sales, IT as one team with perfect communications to create ideas and make them very effective. We brought HR to international standards. The IT department; new communication systems, WIFI network over the town from project to project and a change from outsourcing to in-house jobs which saved a lot of money. CS; we created a very motivated and knowledgeable team, which created very good relations with owners and guests, Constructions; I had the final control on construction of all projects, solve problems with the constructor and made changes for cost effective maintenance for the future. On the eco side we created developments with complete private waste water recycling systems and clean water systems. Rainwater basins for the gardens, power saving systems.
I received a request to join for Interim Management to arrange a quick turn-around of an online business which was in bad shape after 3 times sold in 3 years time. Royal Sports is an online sales entertainment business with an 8 years on-line reputation, 120 staff members. Staff training, more aggressive and creative marketing, better finance control, sales/ line/ team, Improve cleanup and redesign websites. We trained all staff, adding horses and poker, profitable payoff agreements with customers. We made it profitable in 8 months time.
A medium short term interim management position for 6 month, the owner had a bypass operation, so I helped out for a while. It was a company which maintained and installed all public electric wiring around the island Curacao, Netherlands Antilles and also we had a cleaning crew of 40 employees, all together a company more than 230 employees. I ended with a report for improvements for the owner
Living on a small island in the Caribbean doesn't give you always the opportunities your looking for but I appreciated to have the chance to work for many years on all levels in the on-line entertainment industry. I chose this position because there was a big hype on-line and I didn't wanted to miss the opportunity to join and being involved in this new industry which grew heavily on Curacao. I have worked mainly in Management on CS, Conventional and on-line Marketing, Finance control (CC), Internet Fraud, Credit card security.

Beach Project development Cas Abao on Curacao Netherlands Antilles. I was initiator and owner of the development which started with ecologic development of a hotel and ecologic beach development. Main goal was economic development of the area, initiate tourist development with respect for the beauty of nature on shore and the beautiful underwater world of Curacao. During that same time I became involved in real estate as adviser for other projects and initiated the Real Estate company 'Build and Buy'.
I started working when I was 14 years old and studied at evening for years. After working for the justice department for 5 years as social worker I decided to work for myself. After opening one bar I decided not ever again. From top line coffee shops at A1 locations I ended having 5 star restaurants and 4 stars hotels. I bought companies changed them for the better and sold them again. I became more and more involved with the ABN/AMRO and on request of the bank I checked hotels and restaurants or managed them for a while. During the last 12 years I bought and sold for myself. The last 2 years I became involved in international trading mostly commodities. After 20 years I wanted to go international and we moved to Curacao, Netherlands Antilles in the Caribbean.
