Attending Winona State University as an undergraduate, Georgette Topalis is pursuing a psychology degree while taking courses in sports marketing and public relations. Earning Presidential Scholar and Dean’s List recognition, Georgette Topalis has also excelled on the varsity soccer field and earned a spot on the All-Academic Team of Excellence of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
Ms. Topalis’ current sporting accomplishments build on a four-letter varsity basketball and soccer career as a Buffalo Grove High School student. Selected as SOCCER Mid-Suburban League Soccer Player of the Year, East Division, in 2017, she captained the MSL East Division Champions in that year. Georgette Topalis’ background in soccer also includes experience as an Elite Soccer Club coach and referee.
Ms. Topalis also has a strong focus on volunteer efforts that better the community and has helped prepare and distribute Feed My Starving Children poverty alleviation packs. She is also a meal server with the Central Lutheran Church and took part in the Make a Wish Foundation university fundraising event Warriors Got Talent. In addition, she has organized her college soccer team to read to students at the Goodview Elementary Schools.
