George J. Kopsias has built a reputation in several sectors of the financial industry since 1992. As a senior accountant for Snowhite Hospitality near Chicago, George Kopsias handles a range of financial reporting functions, such as maintaining balance sheets in QuickBooks, conducting annual audits, and streamlining earnings reports for contractors.
Kopsias entered the financial industry as an option arbitrage agent for several Chicago traders, taking advantage of variations in market prices. He grew his customer base from annual revenues of roughly $100,000 to over $1 million, often working with international clients.
After 12 years, Kopsias became a mortgage loan consultant for Lakeside Bank in Chicago, where he analyzed customers’ income and credit records for optimal returns.
In 2011, he transferred to accounting, reconciling monthly and annual transactions and consulting with Fortune 500 firms. Kopsias also handled payroll accounts, budgets, sales bonuses, and financial management software.
While employed on the trading floor Kopsias earned a master’s degree in information systems from DePaul University in Chicago, graduating with a 3.6 grade point average. He also attained his BS in finance from DePaul.
Kopsias is active in sports and youth activities at Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church. He participates in DePaul alumni organizations and is an avid marathon runner and golfer.
