A member of the American Medical Association, Dr. Gary J. Sprouse is a Chester, MD-based physician with experience in internal medicine, addiction treatment, business ownership, and teaching. Since 1985, Dr. Gary J. Sprouse has leveraged his education as an MD to serve in a wide range of professional positions, including roles as a medical director for two rehab centers in Maryland.
With more than 30 years of experience as an internist, he also has taught as an associate professor at the University of Maryland Medical School. Aside from his experience treating patients and teaching, he is working on a book called Pickles: The New Paradigm in Addictions, Pickles: The Work Book, and How to Have Less Stress, a Home Visit with Dr. Sprouse.
Prior to embarking on his career as an internist, he attended George Washington University, where he graduated with honors from its medical school. He went on to complete his residency at the university’s hospital before opening a private practice at Queen Anne’s Medical Center.
