A train conductor with a background in the US military, Gary Garbrandt has more than two decades of experience in areas such as staff training, cultural diversity, and conflict resolution. Joining the United States Marine Corps in 1987, Gary Garbrandt held positions such as senior drill instructor and supply/warehouse chief. He was also engaged as a senior martial arts instructor.
Mr. Garbrandt’s efforts in inventory management for his squadron significantly improved warehouse efficiency and storage capacities, and led to thousands of dollars in savings. He also had a role in Operation Sea Signal, which provided more than 45,000 Cuban and Haitian migrants with critical humanitarian assistance.
Mr. Garbrandt has received commendation for his lifesaving efforts to rescue a local citizen who had become trapped under a vehicle. A longtime member of the National Rifle Association of America, Mr. Garbrandt additionally supports the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and owns a pair of rescue dogs.
