Garad Nor is an experienced financial services professional with considerable skill in the management of human resources, the development of employee training materials, and the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation processes. Establishing his first entrepreneurial venture in 1996, Garad Nor launched Aaran Money Wire Service, a cash transmission and money order sales company.
As the general manager of Aaran Money Wire Service, Mr. Nor expanded a single-location startup to a multi-branch franchise with annual revenues in excess of $12 million. He went on to transform Tawakal Express, a struggling international money transfer company, by spearheading product/service development and improving global delivery to attract customers. He grew annual revenues at Tawakal Express from $6 million to more than $38 million.
As he continues to manage more than 250 employees in over 20 countries as the chief executive officer of Tawakal Express, Mr. Nor has taken on additional responsibilities, becoming the president and chief executive officer of Banana Pay in January of 2018. Banana Pay is a leading African online money transfer company.
