Gabriel Schwartz, the managing attorney and president at Justice for Colorado, began his career in law more than two decades ago as a summer associate and file clerk at Arkin and Associates, LLC. He held this position for five years, during which time he also earned a bachelor’s in political science from the University of Colorado at Denver. He subsequently enrolled at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law as a Viola Vestol Scholar for his JD, and went on to join the Law Offices of Sandomire & Schwartz, Inc., as managing partner and attorney. For the 11 years he worked at the five-attorney firm, Gabriel Schwartz primarily handled injury and wrongful accusation cases for clients, a practice he continued from 2016 to 2019 at a self-named firm before starting his current position.
Throughout his career as a lawyer, Mr. Schwartz has been active in both the professional and local community. The member of several legal organizations, including the American Bar Association (ABA) and Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, he has lectured before audiences at the University of Denver and the ABA Group Legal Services Association several times. Further, he has served on the board of the Lincoln Club of Colorado and REACH Charter School, and been involved in several political campaigns at both the state and national level. Currently, Mr. Schwartz belongs to the mentoring program from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
