Frederick Tanne, now retired partner for Kirkland & Ellis LLP, practiced with the firm for more than 25 years. A cofounder of Kirkland’s New York office, he played a pivotal role in increasing the number of attorneys at that location from a dozen to more than 400. Under the leadership of Frederick Tanne, the New York office enhanced its ability to attract, develop, and retain high-quality staff attorneys.
In addition to those accomplishments, Frederick Tanne led the firm’s New York corporate practice division and served as co-manager of that office for more than five years. That division ranked among the firm’s top 15 units globally.
Fred Tanne’s work in the areas of private equity, mergers and acquisitions, growth and venture capital, and other complex business transactions resulted in the completion of significant deals for both domestic and international clients.
Mr. Tanne earned his undergraduate degree in communications studies from Northwestern University and graduated with distinction from the Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently based in West Palm Beach, Florida, he also serves as a senior advisor to Ikove Capital Partners and as a board member of its portfolio company, Nikola Labs, Inc.
