Leading Delivery and Central PMO functions to successfully manage and support a portfolio of £80 million and about 300 projects. Building high-performance teams with great professionals located globally. Ensuring that projects and products at DIAGEO are successfully set up and resourced with the right blend of internal and external skills and capabilities. Additionally, co-leading a massive transformation program globally across the company (Agile transformation).
Key responsibilities: • Lead a high performing team of Project Managers to deliver a portfolio of projects. • Champion and implement Agile/Scrum Methodologies for product development; • Build the capability of the team and manage performance to ensure the full portfolio is delivered on time, on budget and to the quality metrics. • Own the delivery of all projects coming into the Portfolio and support in ensuring the projects meet the Entry Criteria to move from Pipeline into Project Delivery. This includes contributing to the development of the business case and as part of entry criteria, approving that scope, costs, timeframes, resource requirements and governance are suitable for the delivery of the project as part of the Entry Criteria. • Ensure the health of the Portfolio including delivery status, risk mitigation, issue resolution and project delivery structure. Approves Governance and Risk Management Approaches for each project. • Look at the projects within the Portfolio to identify resource synergies, project approaches and opportunities for more effective delivery. Identify opportunities within the delivery of Projects to implements Continuous Improvement initiatives within the Portfolio. • Develop strong relationships with senior business stakeholders to influence the delivery of transformation outcomes and achievement of business benefits. • Make sure the teams are gradually using the best processes to support Agile delivery; • Ensure adherence to governance standards across the IT portfolio and providing transparency into overall change delivery performance; • Manage capacity planning and resource management processes supporting the delivery teams with a forward view of work demands; • Track, analyse and monitor portfolio performance metrics, highlighting and addressing any areas of concern; • Build world-class delivery teams in line with the headcount growth plan; • Ensure the delivery teams are structured in the best way to deliver the business goals
