The Master of Science in Solar Energy from UPVD relies on an important local specificity, solar energy, historically present in the department at research level (Odeillo solar furnace, THEMIS Central, CNRS PROMES Centre) and at its industrial applications.
Its multidisciplinary program aims to train senior managers involved in the design of solar installations, by providing the tools to adapt their systems to new environmental constraints and propose solutions leading to sustainable development. Therefore it develops around three priority axes to achieve this goal:
The training also relies on ICT and softwares commonly used in industry and consulting firms such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, Pleiades-Comfie. Its multidisciplinary nature offers its engineer students a broad range of skills and knowledge to be able to dialogue with the different parties involved in an innovative solar project.
The excellence of the Master of Science in Solar Energy from UPVD, recognized at European level A+, is based on the expertise of faculty members from various laboratories of the University of Perpignan, with those of PROMES (CNRS) present at Perpignan Odeillo, the joint research unit CARTECH and professionals of energy industries.
