I am a subtle, empathetic, and wide-ranging researcher on human brain and behavior, who is passionate in technology, arts, and social relationships. I set up a well-rounded profile from Neurosciences and Clinical Research to design and usability, and I am currently looking for User Experience challenges in new applications.
Turned a robotic hand [www.softhands.eu] into 4 different prosthesis and 1 rehabilitative device within the framework of a EU Research Project [www.softpro.eu], in a human-centered design approach using primary and secondary UX Researches.
Identified 5 main target groups of users, measured the usability and the embodiment of the prototypes by designing and implementing specific qualitative and quantitative UX Researches; created a database for data collection.
Estimated patterns of brain activity for controlling robotic devices in Brain-Computer Interfaces, by going from key research questions through problem-solving to designing a study protocol built upon the "Synergy Theory".
Got my 6 clinical trials approved successfully for the first time in my laboratory by the local Ethics committees and national Authority of Health, by complying with regulations and editing all the related documentation.
Pushed the prototypes to the market up to TRL 8 in close contact with designers and engineers, through data interpretation and translation into functional and aesthetic guidelines for iterations within a lean development framework.
Disseminated results to clinical and engineering stakeholders in 6 main Project Meetings and numerous periodic internal meetings through reports and presentations and moderation of brainstorming sessions.
Coauthored 3 research papers as the responsible for UX Research.

Worked in close contact with patients and colleagues in different clinical environments, taking care of their needs while applying instrumental techniques for the investigation of Nervous System. Carried on tutoring activity.
Thesis Title: Treatment with Non Invasive Brain Stimulation (NIBS) of cognitive impairments linked to cancer therapy. Literature review. Supervisor Prof. Alessandra Gorini. In an evidence–based practice approach, I analyzed the literature in order to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Neuromodulation as therapeutic instrument. Results of my research were successfully used to obtain the ethical approval for the design of a clinical study on oncologic patients.
Thesis title: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation methods for the evaluation of cortical excitability. Application in the study of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Supervisor Prof. Simone Rossi. I deeply examined Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation techniques to research a novel experimental protocol for the assessment of neurotransmitter alterations, with the aim of proposing it as an innovative non invasive method for the diagnosis of PTSD.
I have a strong passion for artistic forms of expression since I was a child, I have been dancing classic dance for 20 years, modern dance for 10, I learned piano for 7 years and have been drawing on paper and on digital design software since my university years.
