An extensively educated chemist with membership in the Royal Society of Chemistry, Evan A. Weitz earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 2009 and has since received a master’s degree in synthetic organic chemistry and a PhD in organic and analytical chemistry from the academic institution. While working toward his advanced degrees, Evan A. Weitz held technical and academic research-oriented positions at the school. Through these positions, he conducted comprehensive investigations of fluorine-based metal complexes as viable contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), among other lab-based projects.

In addition to working within a team setting at the University of Minnesota, Evan A. Weitz collaborated with professors in England and Italy to further investigate particular projects. His excellence in the field earned him multiple fellowships, including the Wayland E. Noland Fellowship for the 2013-2014 academic year.

In 2015, Evan A. Weitz was hired as a senior lab technician with Absolute Sound Laboratories, a Savage, Minnesota-based hi-fidelity audio equipment restoration business. He is also a tutor with Achieve Academics, through which he helps prepare students for the ACT exam. A collector of keyboards and synthesizers, Mr. Weitz has played the piano since he was 4 years old and, in his youth, won a pair of statewide competitions.
