As President of Northeast Maritime Institute (NMI), Eric Dawicki oversees all organizational aspects of the college, prepares annual budgets, and recommends policy changes to the board, among other administrative tasks. Founded by Eric Dawicki in 1995, NMI stands out as the first and only private maritime college in the United States.
Eric Dawicki leverages extensive experience in his work with NMI, including a two-year tenure as a member of the executive board of Sweden's World Maritime University. He also serves as the Founder of Transportation Security Logistics and President and CEO of Dominica Maritime Registry, through which he developed several International Maritime Act and Regulations and ISPS Code compliance programs and established more than 20 regional offices. Previously, Mr. Dawicki served as Director of American Maritime Shipping, and he spent nearly a decade in progressive maintenance and heavy equipment operation roles with Ahrenkiel Ship Management and WHMVN Steamship Authority.
Mr. Dawicki holds a Master's in Public Administration from American University. An active member of the field, he belongs to several professional organizations, including the United States National Maritime Security Advisory Committee, the United States Coast Guard Foundation, and the International Maritime Lecturers Association.
