I graduated with a master's degree in engineering in 2011. In the early stages of my postgraduate studies, I realized that I wanted to focus on increasing the safety of participants in sport through gaining knowledge of biomechanics and injury prevention.
My personal experiences as a rugby player and a Red Cross volunteer reinforced this feeling, having witnessed some dramatic events on the sport field, including severe concussions.
I am currently working as a Research and Development Engineer at Decathlon, one of the largest European sporting goods manufacturers. My work focuses on sports injury prevention and I am in charge of research projects on epidemiology, traumatology and personal protective equipment design for various sports.
Decathlon SportsLab (ex Oxylane Research) is the sports research lab of Decathlon. With more than 50 researchers and a worldwide network of scientific laboratories, research organisations, universities and industrial partners, we deploy resources in order to properly carry out the 5 steps essential to any scientific approach : observe, understand, imagine, experiment and check.
