An EdD recipient from Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Emmanuel Lalande draws upon more than 13 years of experience as an administrator in higher education. He began his career in 2005 with Delaware State University, and over the next five years he held a series of positions of increasing responsibility. Ultimately serving as the director of student leadership and activities, Dr. Emmanuel Lalande handled a nearly $5 million budget while managing the school’s student center, Greek system, and new student orientation program.

In 2010, Dr. Emmanuel Lalande accepted a position as the director of student activities at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, where he spearheaded the renovation of the student center while leading student advising activities. He built upon this experience at his next position as the assistant dean of students at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. During his two years at Bethune-Cookman, Dr. Lalande led a series of initiatives to reform the student handbook, create a student activities board, and renovate the student center.

Since that time, Dr. Emmanuel Lalande has held leadership positions in the administrations of Harris-Stowe State University in Missouri and Florida Memorial University. Currently, he serves as the vice president for enrollment management at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. In this role, he draws upon his lengthy experience to manage all aspects of admissions and student enrollment.
