For 10 years, Eloah Rocha has served as a counselor at Los Angeles Children’s Hospital. As head of the hospital’s youth activity center, she supervises all members of the childcare staff and conducts assessments of their performance. Eloah Rocha is also in charge of creating the center’s daily program agenda for participating youth patients and their siblings.
During her tenure at the hospital, Eloah Rocha has had the opportunity to perform several studies examining the interaction between pediatric patients and their siblings. Her research in this area involves observing the coping mechanisms utilized by children with either older or younger siblings undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Prior to joining the team at Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, Ms. Rocha earned a bachelor of science in child psychology from Boulder University, in Boulder Colorado. While completing her studies, she gained valuable experience for her future career as a volunteer at a local Boulder hospital.
Accompanying her professional work with children, Eloah Rocha also contributes to multiple philanthropic efforts that benefit young people in her community. At a local elementary school, she volunteers to help students with their homework. Previously, she has organized and participated in fundraisers to aid children with disabilities and fund after-school programs.
