A contributing editor to the Canadian Payroll Manual: a reference guide for employers across Canada on topics ranging from employment standards, taxable benefits & allowance, year-end reporting, garnishments and employment tax law.
Provide expert advice on all Canadian payroll and HR related matters on Carswell’s information line.
Facilitates payroll seminars (15 – 25 Members) on behalf of the Canadian Payroll Association. Seminars include Introduction to Payroll I and II and Terminations.

Research unique payroll matters using various payroll sources such as: CRA infoline, IT-Bulletins, government Acts & Regulations.
Act as a Carswell delegate at CPA’s annual trade shows by providing product information & demonstrations for the Canadian Payroll Manual.
Responsible for the complete recruitment and selection cycle. This included collaborating with management on identifying key requirements, internal/external postings on Workopolis, reviewing resumes, interviewing & short-listing candidates and closing positions.
Created onboarding packages to new employees. Reviewed one-on-one company policies, provided first day orientations and become their first point of contact on all HR matters.
Performed reference and background checks.
Facilitated terminations and conducted exit interviews.
Organized Take Our Kids to Work. Activities included giving employees’ kids a tour of the building, introducing them to some staff members, virtual car ride and time spent job shadowing their parents for the day.

Served as a single point of contact for terminated employees. Provided support and answered questions regarding their termination letters, executed RRSP transfers working with AR department.
Processed terminated payroll for over 3,000 employees using PeopleSoft.

Enhanced HR knowledge through hands-on analyses and critical thinking involving case-studies. Further built teamwork skills through group projects and minored in Business Law to further understand the legal issues facing business environments.
A certificate program that focuses on the day-to-day use of the French language in the workplace and in everyday situations. This program contained role-playing, exercises, and active participation.
