Edward Anderton laid the foundation for his career as an accomplished business leader and entrepreneur as a student and swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania (U Penn) in Philadelphia. Attending U Penn on a four-year Lachs-Adler Scholarship for academic and athletic achievement, Edward Anderton spoke at multiple U Penn fundraisers to support future scholarship opportunities.
After working for years in the Internet marketing and software project management sectors, Edward Anderton cofounded Scarlata Chocolate in 2012. During Scarlata’s first four years of operation, he presided over average annual revenue increases of more than 100 percent. In 2016 alone, Scarlata grew by more than 300 percent.
Mr. Anderton also established a monthly Scarlata mail order service that expanded by more than 200 subscribers its initial two years. Doing business under the name Pandora's Box, this service is available in 6-month and 12-month subscriptions. Customers can choose among salted caramel, vegan truffle, and mixed box assortments.
