Since 2007 I've been an educator for young learners. I have worked as an English teacher in Pre-primary and Primary in my hometown Cali, Colombia for almost a decade and as a Spanish teacher in different U.S schools in North Carolina for three years through an exchange visitor program. It has been an enriching and very constructive experience for my personal and professional growth. I am looking for new professional opportunities where I can continue growing, learning and sharing experiences and knowledge.
This is my most recent position at the same school and in pre-primary as well. In my class, students develop their computational skills and the use of digital tools. They learn about algorithms, patterns, decomposition, digital citizenship, technology and society and collaborative work. They are also familiar with peer-evaluation and self-assessment.
Subjects taught: Science, English Language Arts and Math. Planning, implementing and evaluating the pedagogical proposal for first grade.
