Duke Ligon (Oklahoma City)

Duke Ligon, a resident of Oklahoma City, works as an attorney and owns Mekusukey Oil Company. In these roles, he leverages his decades of experience in the energy sector, including legal representation across many areas of resource and energy law, to both positions. In the 1970s, he worked with US working groups, delegations, and White House offices on domestic energy policy planning and regulation issues, helping to craft this area of law and regulation in which he now works. Duke Ligon earned his education in these fields at Westminster College and the University of Texas School of Law, graduating with a juris doctor degree in 1969.

After graduating from law school, Dr. Ligon went into the military, serving in the army from February of 1969 until February of 1971. He held the rank of Captain, and served as intelligence briefer for multiple generals, including the intelligence commander of operations in Southeast Asia. He went on to earn several medals for his service, including a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the prestigious Bronze Star.
