Certified as a mathematics educator, Dr. Shannon Burton also holds New York State certification as a school district and school business administrator. Earning his MBA from Columbia University, Dr. Shannon Burton focused on health care management and is currently working toward a graduate degree in organizational leadership.
With a background as a math teacher at a Yonkers, New York, public school, Dr. Burton was promoted to assistant principal for public relations and mathematics at the same school. He subsequently accepted a position as principal with a large Brooklyn middle school.
