An experienced family medicine and urgent care physician, Dr. Lamont Tyler holds current medical licensure in both Illinois and Indiana. After obtaining his bachelor of science in biology at Loyola University of Chicago, he matriculated at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine to obtain his doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO). Dr. Lamont Tyler went on to complete both an internship and a residency at Cook County Hospital, ultimately leaving as chief resident in 1989.
After serving as a staff member at multiple hospitals, Dr. Lamont Tyler joined the OSF Medical Group in Bloomington, Illinois, in 2004. He currently treats patients and manages urgent care and acute care practices as a medical director at the OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. He also has represented OSF HealthCare as part of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
Outside of the professional arena, Dr. Tyler enjoys golfing and skiing. He also supports multiple charitable organizations including The Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, and the American Diabetes Association.
