The recipient of a master of science from Wayne State University and a doctor of medicine from Ross University, Dr. John Vassallo completed both an internship and residency in internal medicine at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan, before earning board certification in 2005. That same year, Dr. John Vassallo began working at Saint Joseph Hospital Livingston and, the following year, he launched his own medical office, where he continues to diagnose and treat patients for acute and chronic illnesses. He focuses on treating hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
In addition to seeing patients at his Howell, Michigan-based office, Dr. Vassallo serves as the medical director of the Wellbridge of Brighton, Wellbridge of Pinckney, and Wellbridge of Fenton rehabilitation centers. Moreover, Dr. Vassallo holds membership with the Society for Post Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine and is a past president of the Livingston County Medical Society. In his free time, he enjoys deer and duck hunting as well as other outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, and rugby.
