A successful neurologist, Dr. James C. Johnston currently serves as the director of Global NeuroCare, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing sustainable neurological care for the most vulnerable populations in the most impoverished regions. Global NeuroCare is in Special Consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

Dr. James C. Johnston is a consultant neurologist and attorney, and has served the Addis Ababa University Department of Neurology in Ethiopia since inception of the training program a decade ago. It is this longstanding relationship with his Ethiopian colleagues that encouraged Dr. James C. Johnston to start the Global NeuroCare charity.
