A fellow of the American Board of Surgery and member of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Konstantino (Dan) Avradopoulos is a lead physician in wound care at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, Massachusetts. Prior to joining the hospital's medical group in 2015, Dr. Dan Avradopoulos worked for a year as a staff surgeon with MRDC International, where he was tasked with providing care for humanitarian workers and foreign diplomats at the nonprofit medical service organization's hospital in the Republic of South Sudan.

From 2012 to 2014, Dr. Avradopoulos worked as director of surgical oncology at Harrington Hospital. In this capacity, he introduced surgical procedures new to the hospital and led initiatives to improve surgical oncology benchmarks including preoperative needle biopsy for breast cancer, the use of aggressive mammographic screening, and lymph node harvesting for colorectal cancer. His career included a stint in 2000 as a general and oncologic surgeon at Fallon Clinic, in Worcester, where he founded the breast cancer clinic and was subsequently awarded the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Local Hero award.

Dr. Avradopoulos completed his three-year surgical oncology fellowship at Brown University's Roger Williams Medical Center and five-year residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He earned his doctor of medicine degree from Northeastern Ohio University and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Akron.
