A licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Christine Cantner recently accepted a position with Be Well Morristown in New Jersey. She focuses on the assessment and treatment of mood and behavioral disorders in both adolescents and adults. She has completed specialized training in addressing postpartum depression and anxiety as well as other psychological conditions in women who have recently given birth. As part of this training, Dr. Christine Cantner also received a thorough grounding in counseling clients who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, and child loss.

Similarly passionate about supporting persons who are gender non-conforming or transgender, Dr. Christine Cantner helps these individuals to navigate the complexities of their emotional, social, physical, and legal transitions. She also works with individuals who struggle with eating disorders and body image challenges and is dedicated to helping them achieve self-acceptance and self-understanding. To support her work, Dr. Cantner maintains active membership with the Academy for Eating Disorders.

Dr. Cantner comes to her work having previously served as a clinical psychologist at St. Christopher’s, Inc., a residential treatment center for adolescents and young adults. She received her Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, where she focused on serious and persistent mental illness, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Studies in Women and Gender from the University of Virginia.
