Deputy Commander, Operations Group, National Training Center (NTC) consisting of 750 Officers, NCOs, Soldiers, and Civilians who plan, execute and support the training of FORSCOM brigades that deploy to Fort Irwin, CA for 10 rotations per year. Serve as the Commander and Senior Observer/Controller during the absence of the Commander. Responsible for management, configuration, operations, and modernization of the NTC Instrumentation System (IS) valued at over $750 million. Oversee and evaluate the operations of 6 civilian contractors (companies) providing $41 million worth of support to Operations Group. Responsible for identifying, validating, and implementing future facility, manning and equipment requirements for the command. Provides oversight and direction for Army Exportable Training Center capability.
