David Trandel serves as chief executive officer and chairman of Springbank Capital Advisors in Chicago. Through this company, which he founded in 2011, he focuses on development and redevelopment of real estate close to key transit nodes. In his role, David Trandel oversees acquisition, planning, and entitlement of projects throughout Chicago.
Before founding Springbank, Mr. Trandel managed Trilogy Capital Income Fund, which he established to invest in successful Walgreens properties. During his time at the fund, he achieved annual returns of more than 16 percent. In tandem with his work at Trilogy, he undertook real estate development projects through Stonestreet Partners.
Between 2003 and 2011, Mr. Trandel served as vice chairman and chief operating officer with Prime Group, where he focused on business development, capital markets, and acquisitions. While he was there, the company managed more than $1.2 billion in an institutional-quality real estate, including the JW Marriott Chicago and the Waldorf Astoria.
A graduate of the Executive Education program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, he also holds a bachelor of business administration from the University of Iowa.
