Based in New York, David Simon serves as the CIO and CEO of Twin Securities, Inc., an affiliate of Twin Capital Management, an alternative investment management firm. For nearly 30 years, he has overseen portfolio management and security selection from developed markets (ex-Asia), targeting mid to large-cap companies. His event-driven approach to investing is focused on identifying securities that are likely to experience a catalyst or transformational event leading to a change in value.
Before starting Twin Capital, David Simon gained experience as the head of risk arbitrage research at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg and later at Mercury Securities. After earning a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in accounting and finance from Muhlenberg College, he graduated magna cum laude with a JD from the University of Miami Law School. Prior to moving into the financial sector, he practiced corporate law for two years.
Actively involved in his community, he co-sponsors an annual charity dinner for Solving Kids Cancer. He is also the co-founder of the Westchester golf events for the Starlight Children's Foundation and the homelessness outreach group H.E.L.P. USA. To further support his mission of philanthropy, he has created a foundation that bears his name.
