NU Student Government Communication Chair

Northwest University
Since August 2013
  • Manage the web presence of the Northwest University Student Government as well as promote events and market other NUSG initiatives. Typical work involves using PhotoShop to create graphics and designs for both printed posters and digital media pertaining to school events, promoting these events via the NUSG blog, NUSG's social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), digital monitors on campus, putting up posters on campus, making announcements in chapel, and others forms of word-of-mouth marketing. Videos are also shot and edited to promote events or highlight announcements. The NUSG Comm Chair also manages the NUSG email account (run on an Outlook Web server) as well as the NUSG website "The Place" (run on WordPress.com).
  • It is imperative that the NUSG Comm Chair works closely with the Activities Chair executive so that events are marketed in a timely, relevant manor.
