A graduate of Haverhill High School in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Darcy Cardarelli attended Dartmouth College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. After finishing college, Darcy Cardarelli began working as a computer programmer at Boston-based company John Hancock.
In 12 years with John Hancock, Ms. Cardarelli worked her way up to the position of manager of the payroll and human resources development team. In this role, she was presented with a Spot Award for Excellence.
Ms. Cardarelli subsequently held progressive executive roles with SOTAS International, starting as a manager of a team of computer programmers and eventually becoming president of the company. Since 2010, Ms. Cardarelli has served as the president of her own company, through which she is developing a website that will feature inspiring stories to helped individuals battling cancer and families dealing with the loss of a loved one due to cancer. Additionally, she is interested in cancer research, specifically relating to colon cancer and how maintaining a positive attitude affects results.
