After graduating with honors from Northeastern University and earning a BA in business administration, Daniel Hickey Jr. embarked on a career in the insurance industry. He attended the Aetna Institute, a premier training program in casualty and property insurance. His stellar performance garnered him a “Gold Ribbon” for excellence in product knowledge and sales presentation. In 1999, after several years of experience as the operator of an independent insurance agency, Daniel G. Hickey Jr. founded Majestic Insurance. He led sales expansion efforts into four new states and grew premiums from $50 million to over $150 million. Mr. Hickey served as the CEO and chairman of the board of Majestic Insurance from 2006 until 2009.
With comprehensive knowledge of risk management and the broker marketplace, Daniel Hickey Jr. established Roosevelt Road Program Managers (RRPM) in 2009. As its founding partner and CEO, he leads a professional team that provides property and casualty insurance underwriting. He oversees a technically sophisticated operation that enables his independent broker colleagues, and staff team to effectively evaluate risk for appropriate pricing, and simultaneously meet profitability goals. In addition to providing executive leadership for RRPM, Daniel Hickey Jr. lectures on the topic of venture capital to undergraduate and graduate students.
