Dan Sapienza Uconn
Suffield United States (Connecticut)
Employed Available
Based in Suffield, CT, University of Connecticut (Uconn) alumnus Dan Sapienza has been a successful full-time day trader since 2000. He relies completely on his own research into specific stocks and the broader markets in the search of market inefficiencies that he then exploits to make short-term trading profits. Before he became a professional trader, Dan Sapienza earned a BS in economics from Uconn.

Having achieved extensive recognition while playing soccer at CT’s Suffield High School, he attended Uconn on a four-year soccer scholarship. As he was finishing his degree, he began playing professional soccer. He successfully tried out and played for the Albany Alleycats in the 1996 season and then played for the Western Massachusetts Pioneers for three more seasons. He was the leading goal scorer in every year that he played professionally.

An avid watcher of CNBC stock market personality Jim Cramer’s show Mad Money, Mr. Sapienza has all of Jim Cramer’s books, including Mad Money, Real Money, Stay Mad for Life, and Get Rich Carefully, which he has read many times.
