After completing undergraduate studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, Dallas Rabenstein attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned his doctor of chemistry and served a year as a chemistry lecturer. Dallas Rabenstein’s history of research experience includes tenures with the Chevron Research Company and multiple institutions of higher learning. Over the course of his career, Dr. Rabenstein and his research team members have published 174 scholarly articles and 9 book chapters based on their extensive laboratory work.
Dr. Rabenstein was the executive vice chancellor and provost at the University of California, Riverside (UC Riverside) from 2009 to 2014. This position allowed him to exert considerable influence over UC Riverside policy decisions and make significant contributions to its long-term strategic planning. Dr. Rabenstein has also served UC Riverside as dean of its Graduate Division, chair of its Department of Chemistry, and interim director of its Agricultural Experiment Station.
