As president and CEO of Commonwealth Diagnostics International, Craig Strasnick builds on more than six years of industry experience. He stands out as co-founder and former chief operating officer (COO) of Commonwealth Laboratories, which he expanded from a two-employee company to a thriving international business with more than 100 employees. During this time, Craig Strasnick also proved instrumental in establishing the company's reputation for high-quality and patient-driven testing systems.
Under Mr. Strasnick's leadership, Commonwealth Laboratories developed breath testing for such digestive conditions as small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, as well as for intolerances to lactose, fructose, and sucrose. Also effective at creating a stool test for clostridium difficile (C. difficile) colitis, the company further distinguished itself as developer of the industry's only reliable and efficient blood test for irritable bowel system with diarrhea (IBS-D). Throughout each development process, the company's leadership team emphasized accuracy and ease of use for patients.
Dedicated to serving his community on a personal level as well, Craig Strasnick supports such organizations as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Mr. Strasnick has also played a key role in directing Commonwealth Laboratories' charitable endeavors, including its support of the American Brain Tumor Association and its participation in the association's New York City 5K race.
