As an enthusiastic and proactive person, I enjoy taking up challenges.
What started as a school project at NOVA SBE has proven to be a sustainable social business that could really make a difference in Lisbon against food waste. Together with the other co-founders, we conducted the market analysis, identified a solution with a unique value proposition, built a viable business plan, implemented a pilot, wrote a financial plan and raised funds. In order to scale, we have transferred our knowledge to our local partners through a joint venture. Our "Wastea" project offers a new life cycle for fruit peels to reduce food waste.
Developed my entrepreneurial and team-management skills. Built a network of social entrepreneurs in Portugal
As an enthusiastic and proactive person, took up the challenge of raising awareness around sustainability among the CEMS community.

As a group leader, in charge of the organisation of cultural exchange stays for 15-to-17-year-old teenagers in developing countries (including teaching them about North-South inequalities and world citizenship, fundraising to support our projects, organising all activities abroad and collaborating with our partner in the field).
Last year, I was in charge of our stay in Morocco. I was responsible for more than 20 Belgian teenagers and a 5-volunteers team during 2 weeks. In close collaboration with our moroccan partner, we helped them to become critic citizens and strive for an alternative and brighter world future. Because Morocco is a young DBA-partner, I had to develop and reinforce our relations, prospect there for new opportunities and train the local staff with our "education for development" tools.
Developed useful skills: project leadership, negotiation, team management,... and this experience helped me to become a critical-thinking citizen.

During 5 days, I took part in the first W2W program for young female in Belgium among 40 other girls who were selected on their application. We had courses about:
negociation (Program on Negociation - Harvard Law School),
social networks (Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University),
self confidence (Randolph School) and
entrepreneurship (The Lewis Institute & Babson Social Innovation Lab) We attented conferences with inspiring guests: famous journalists including Hadja Labib and spirit leaders but also meetings with formidable women (from companies and the EU-parliament) and practical lessons about starting and keeping up with an business idea. Today, we all strive for changes in our society, supported by the Belgium US Embassy.
On behalf of Belgian Development Agency, we developed an online recipe book adapted to the students to promote the Fairtrade week. Those recipes take a little time, are cheap and contain mainly fair trade or organic ingredients. Using Oxfam products, I had to be creative to invent innovative recipes that would suit our needs. I also dealed with logistics problems and stock management. After that step, we promoted our action and rose aware among students from the University of Namur about their food consumption.
