A native of Gillette, WY, Christopher Jeremiah is a former Army Captain who is currently pursuing a nursing degree at Northwest College. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder, graduating in 2005 with a bachelor of science in political science while competing as a walk-on member of the school’s cross county and indoor track & field teams. After from his collegiate and military career, Christopher Jeremiah successfully launched Thunder Basin CrossFit in Gillette, growing the gym into a profitable enterprise before selling the company in 2014.
Throughout his seven-year military career, CPT Jeremiah was deployed twice to combat duty in Iraq and was in charge of more than 150 soldiers. He received a Bronze Star for his service in the Army and has found unique ways to give back since leaving active duty. One way he helps veterans is by supporting nonprofit groups like Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, an organization that uses fly fishing as a means to help soldiers dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder cope with their illness.
