Originally from Arizona, Christopher B. (Bianco) Arellano earned his BA in theater arts with a Chicano Studies focus at the University of California, Los Angeles. Now active as a community organizer, Christopher Bianco Arellano serves as Tri-Citi Educators UNISERV executive director and works in tandem with the Association of Norwalk-La Mirada, California Teachers Association, National Education Association, and the Downey Education Association.
Mr. Arellano gained early experience in social work with a downtown Los Angeles Shakespeare company that provided inner city youth with pathways toward theater production. He also completed a University of Southern California graduate degree in social work and urban planning, and earned his organizational leadership EdD from Pepperdine University.
Mr. Arellano’s background includes a past position as the United Teachers Los Angeles for the East Area of Los Angeles’ union representative and organizer. He has also held responsibilities as East Area Planning Commission president with the city of LA, and as Community Action Board for Community Development chair with the city of LA.
