About Me
Cho-Liang Lin is an internationally acclaimed violinist, educator, and artistic director known for his brilliant musicianship and dedication to the next generation of artists. Born in Taiwan, he began studying violin at a young age, later moving to Sydney and then New York to train under the legendary Dorothy DeLay at Juilliard. His career took off with a debut alongside the New York Philharmonic, leading to performances with the world’s most prestigious orchestras, including the London Philharmonic, Royal Concertgebouw, and Philadelphia Orchestra.

Beyond performance, Lin is a devoted mentor, serving as a professor at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. He has held key artistic leadership roles, including music director of La Jolla SummerFest for 18 years and artistic director of the Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival. Passionate about championing contemporary composers, he has premiered works by John Williams, Tan Dun, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and others.

With numerous acclaimed recordings on Sony Classical, Decca, and BIS, Lin continues to shape the classical music world through his artistry, teaching, and leadership, inspiring musicians and audiences alike.
