Chip McGee Bedford NH

A longtime educational leader, Chip McGee provides educational consulting services through his company, Sugar Maple Consulting, located outside of Bedford, NH. Although he is based in the Bedford, NH, area, Chip McGee provides clients in diverse locations with consulting services, including assistance analyzing student performance data, revising curricula, and developing strategic plans.

McGee launched his career as an educator at the Beacon School in New York City after earning his bachelor's degree from Brown University. Over his six-year tenure at Beacon, he served both as a high school teacher and as academic dean, and his responsibilities included teaching mixed-ability classes in the subjects of algebra I, global studies, and physical science. He also led the development and ongoing improvement of performance-based assessments, a method of assessing student proficiency that serves as a reliable alternative to New York State Regents Exams.

Following his work at the Beacon School, McGee served as a visiting professor at Franklin Pierce University, in Rindge, NH. Before establishing Sugar Maple Consulting, he held the title of superintendent of schools for the Bedford School District for 15 years. He holds a master of business administration from Columbia University in addition to his undergraduate degree.
