Company Description
Aviasales started in late 2007 as a travel blog publishing airline sales offers and became a flight metasearch in 2008. In 2010 the whole company (10 people at the time) moved to Phuket, Thailand, and the majority of the company (84 out of 100 staff) currently reside there. The company currently operates in Hong Kong, Thailand, Russia and Australia.
2011 — Aviasales launched a global affiliate program TravelPayouts with 47k+ affiliates, the most beautiful B2B travel affiliate program in the world. 2012 — Aviasales launched a number of regional versions of its web sites under the JetRadar® brand. 2013 — Aviasales launched a hotel metasearch site hotellook.com globally. 2014 — JetRadar and hotellook were seamlessly integrated into TravelPayouts.
Currently 90%+ of the revenue comes from Russia (it’s slowly changing, but Aviasales totally rule there), where Aviasales hold a 55% metasearch market share with almost a USD1 billion generated in gross booking value for airlines and OTAs annually. Recently the mobile apps are installed on every 7th iOS device in Russia.
