An experienced airplane and helicopter pilot, Charlie McMannis has experience flying a variety of aircraft types. Charlie McMannis has logged a total of 7,000 flight hours on a combination of aircraft including the Gulfstream 45 and 550, the Boeing 737, and the Falcon 900/50.
Experienced in rescue flight as well as corporate and commercial ventures, Charlie McMannis began his career as a pilot with Chrysler and BankOne. He later flew with Delta Airlines before his transition to rescue service, which saw him flying on air and sea rescue efforts with the Chicago Fire Department. Mr. McMannis now serves as a pilot and senior captain where he is also in charge of customizing the electronic checklist and overseeing flight safety.
In his free time, Charlie McMannis enjoys working out and joining his friends for a game of football, tennis, pool, or golf. He closely follows the professional sports teams of Chicago, while also giving back to his community as a sponsor of local school and youth athletics. Mr. McMannis also stands out as a supporter of local schools, nonprofit arts programs, and educational initiatives.
