With nearly three decades of industry experience, Charles J. Diven Jr. is a Hackensack, New Jersey, construction executive who guides the firm Divlong. He has guided the planning, maintenance, and execution of diverse projects, from commercial buildings to single family homes. Charles J. Diven Jr.’s current focus is on the development of major outdoor athletic complexes.
In undertaking large-scale developments, Mr. Diven oversees all aspects of projects, from gaining municipal approval to installing underground utilities and completing private and municipal roads. Emphasizing eco-friendly construction practices, he guides everything from plumbing and electrical installation to the implementation of erosion control.
Mr. Diven previously engaged as 102-104 Ash Associates principal and managed a state-of-the-art Bronx off-track betting facility from concept to tenant leasing. He also designed and oversaw development of a Westchester County indoor/outdoor sports complex spanning 63 acres. The project encompassed a pair of 25-ton bridges, extensive retaining walls, parking areas, and 10 full-length athletic fields. Throughout the project, Charles J. Diven Jr. coordinated closely with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation on the wetland permitting process.
