A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Asheville, Carolyn Seale studied industrial and engineering management before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2000. After completing her education, she moved to Cleveland, Tennessee, to begin her career in the manufacturing industry. Since that time, Carolyn Seale has gained extensive experience in lean manufacturing processes, the Kaizen production strategy, and principles of the Toyota Production System.
Currently, Carolyn Seale works for Denso Manufacturing, a Japanese-owned, Tier 1 automotive supplier in Athens, Tennessee. As a member of the company’s leadership team, she serves as manager of industrial engineering, manager of manufacturing planning, and manager of the Kaizen fabrication team. The Cleveland resident also incorporates concepts of lean manufacturing and Kaizen fabrication into the entire production process, from equipment design to final product.
Since joining the management team at Denso, Ms. Seale has helped the company earn a number of honors, including leading the factory to “Excellent Factory” championship status among Denso affiliates on five separate occasions. She also has delivered a number of in-house presentations on manufacturing process improvements to her Denso colleagues.
