Drawing on his experience as a clinical researcher, Dr. Carl Bazan serves as a clinical research associate in the Bioservices department of Precision for Medicine. Since assuming this position in 2016, he has undertaken a number of duties for the Bethesda, Maryland, company, including managing investigational sites and training principal investigators. Dr. Carl Bazan’s responsibilities further extend to handling site compliance and budgetary matters, and he leverages his Spanish-language skills to translate regulatory documents.
Over his tenure at Precision for Medicine, Dr. Carl Bazan has worked on projects for such clients as Biological Dynamics, Bioporto, and CERUS. His career has also seen him conduct clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies like Bayer and AstraZeneca. A member of the Society of Clinical Research Associates and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, Dr. Bazan maintains professional interests in telomere length and cancer research, among other topics.
Dr. Carl Bazan holds an MD from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. He has additionally pursued training in patient safety and nonverbal communication at Harvard Medical School and MD Anderson Cancer Center, respectively. Most recently, he studied cultural competency and medical translation/interpretation at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s.
