Working in Chicago, Illinois, Camille Calabrese has spent more than two decades as an attorney in the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender. She initially functioned as lead attorney in the special remedies unit, a role that involved representing clients associated with large scale consumer fraud cases, and has since served in the narcotics and felony trial divisions. Her work with the felony trial division included homicide, RICO, and natural life cases. Over the course of her time as an attorney in the Cook County Public Defender’s Office, Camille Calabrese has developed expertise in the areas of criminal investigation, petrial negotiation, motion practice, client counseling, as well as post conviction practice.
Ms. Calabrese, a graduate of the John Marshall Law School now at the University of Illinois, Chicago, has been named among the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 List for Illinois. Prior to joining the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender, she spent five years as an assistant public defender in Lake County.
