Bruce A. Willey is a certified public accountant in Iowa, and he founded the Willey Law Firm, PC, in Cedar Rapids in 1996. Bruce A. Willey is the principal lawyer of the firm and represents taxpayers before the IRS, the Appeals Office, the Taxpayer Advocate Service, and the Tax Court.
Before starting his own firm, Mr. Willey was an associate attorney for three years for the firm of Hines, Pence, Day, and Powers in Iowa. He began his legal career as a litigation associate attorney in Kansas City, Missouri, with the law firm Stinson, Mag, & Fizzell, where he prepared expert witnesses and calculated the damage and response cost section of the nation’s largest environmental case up to that time.
Mr. Willey earned his BBA in accounting from the University of Iowa in 1985, and is still passionate about his alma mater’s wrestling and football teams. He is also a member of the American Academy of Attorneys-CPAs.
