A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Brett Devido of New Castle, Pennsylvania, holds a PhD in English literature and criticism, as well as a master of arts in English literature from Slippery Rock University and a bachelor of science in communications from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. In an academic career spanning nearly a decade, New Castle resident Brett Devido has held teaching positions with numerous colleges and universities.
Mr. Devido spent several years as a teaching associate for Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he designed and taught literature and composition courses and served as a graduate assistant to Lingyan Yang. As a full-time graduate assistant at Slippery Rock University, he won the Noel Levitz Award for improving student retention rates. He has given several academic presentations at national conferences, including a talk at the Bleasby Theater Colloquium Series at Westminster College entitled, “The Life of a Graduate Student in the 21st Century.”
Since 2006, Brett Devido has served as director of public relations and marketing with the Ranier Devido Stone Company, responsible for event production, marketing copy creation, brand management, and more.
