Former occupational therapist Brenda Hanna joined Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) in 2016 as a district care coordinator. In this position, she is tasked with managing home care intervention services for clients covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan. Her additional responsibilities at Toronto Central include conducting client assessments prior to the development of home care intervention models and overseeing communications among all community agencies involved in intervention processes. Prior to joining Toronto Central, she spent more than five years as an occupational therapist with Windsor's AchieveMax Rehabilitation.
Brenda Hanna studied health science at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she completed a master of arts in occupational therapy at the same institution. In addition to her schoolwork, she served as an undergraduate research assistant on a spinal cord study, for which she secured research grants, and managed a full caseload of patients in both hospital and clinical settings while working toward her master's degree.
Completed a Master level coursework while providing care to a full caseload of patients in hospital and clinical setting. Assisted in the advancement of the rehabilitation department via service provision and improvement of plan of care and interventional practice.
