What happens when a person born in Hawaii gets transplanted to Germany before the age of two, and spends the next several decades adventuring, learning, and exploring? Add in a natural affinity for being truly interested in the why, a deep responsibility to living on purpose, and counting the privilege of being trusted as one of life's greatest treasures. I am thrilled to to be working for a Fortune 100 company at a time when the solutions, resources, thinkers, access, and innovations make "the sky is the limit" living truer than ever before.
Where are you? Where do you want to go? And how can I be part of the journey?
With fewer than 350 employees globally, VISX was the industry leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of excimer refractive surgical systems. As one of their 9 Business Development Managers, I was responsible for creating win-win scenarios for surgeons who were looking to maximize their $500k+ capital investment. Our core team accomplished this with ground breaking outreach, educational events, customized strategic development, and volume building tools, vendor development, and on-site consulting.
VISX was acquired in 2005 by Advanced Medical Optics with a cash and stock deal valued at $1.27 billion and I was part of the team that transitioned with the purchase.
